sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 1046

4 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1046 published generation 0

seismic activity

Revise: the same seismic shocks, and this time they dissipate more slowly upon fading. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1113 published generation 1

Revise: the same deep earth tremors, and this time they leave a faint, temporary luminosity trail that expands slowly before finally cooling to blackness. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1159 published generation 2

Revise: the same deep earth tremors, and this time the radiating glow dissolves into wispy, smoke-like tendrils. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1194 not published generation 3

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 3 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
