sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 1379

10 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1379 published generation 0

radar images

Revise: the same radar sweep, and this time changing the glowing cyan and green lines to deep blue and violet lines — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1540 published generation 1

Revise: the same radar scan, and this time making the expanding trails pulse with distinct, rhythmic pulsations rather than a constant sweep. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1649 published generation 2

Revise: the same sonar radar visualization, and this time having the propagating lines spiral outward in defined, visible helix patterns. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1721 published generation 3

Revise: the same atmospheric sonar visualization, and this time making the visible helix patterns appear sharply defined and geometric. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1782 published generation 4

Revise: the same atmospheric sonar visualization, and this time having the pulsating lines solidify into glowing crystalline structures. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1814 published generation 5

Revise: the same atmospheric sonar scan, and this time having the propagating lines spiral outward in defined, visible helix patterns — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1859 published generation 6

Revise: the same atmospheric sonar visualization, and this time having the glowing crystalline structures assemble from discrete points along the helix. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1896 published generation 7

Revise: the same atmospheric sonar visualization, and this time having the complex crystalline spirals evolve into interlocking, three-dimensional lattice structures. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1910 rejected · operator generation 8

Revise: depart: the complex, self-assembling geometry of propagating spirals taken into the visualization of deep-sea bioluminescence, triggered by a row of falling dominoes. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2122 not published generation 8

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 8 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
