sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 1395

9 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1395 published generation 0

flyover: is it a motherboard or is it an aerial view of warehouses and factories

Revise: the same deeply complex network of glowing lines and interconnected nodes, and this time the paths must exclusively trace a uniform, visible lattice structure. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1553 published generation 1

Revise: the same infinite, glowing geometry representing a massive, uniform lattice structure, and this time the interconnected nodes must only connect along strictly horizontal and vertical lines. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1655 published generation 2

Revise: the same perpetually shifting, glowing lattice structure, and this time all connected nodes must pulse with a synchronized, slow-moving amber light. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1727 published generation 3

Revise: the same vast, glowing lattice structure, and this time every connected node must pulse with a synchronized, rapidly flashing emerald light. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1788 published generation 4

Revise: the same immense, ethereal grid of glowing lines and interconnected nodes, and this time each connected node must pulse with a slow, asynchronous, deep violet light. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1816 published generation 5

Revise: the same immense, luminous grid composed of interconnected nodes and glowing structural lines, and this time every connected node must pulse by radiating outward rings of deep violet light. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1861 published generation 6

Revise: the same immense, ethereal grid composed of glowing structural lines and countless interconnected nodes, and this time every node must pulse by rapidly changing its overall intensity rather than radiating rings. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1897 rejected · operator generation 7

Revise: depart: the idea of synchronous network connection taken into a slow-moving, vast cascade of crystalline soap bubbles, made of rubber bands. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2114 not published generation 7

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 7 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
