sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 140

7 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 140 published generation 0

supergraphics from 1984

Revise: the same neon-infused vector lines, and this time the grid lines should intermittently break and rebuild in staggered bursts — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 203 published generation 1

Revise: the same structured grid, and this time the connections between adjacent cells should intermittently intensify and dim with varying frequency — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 248 published generation 2

Revise: the same structured field of glowing, neon-infused vector lines forming a grid, and this time the overall pattern should slowly and rhythmically pulse, subtly expanding and contracting. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 291 published generation 3

Revise: the same structured field of glowing, neon-infused vector lines forming an intricate grid, and this time the glitch bursts should coalesce into geometrically defined fractal patterns. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 329 published generation 4

Revise: the same highly detailed, neon-infused vector grid, and this time the coalescing fractal patterns should carve temporary negative spaces within the structured lines. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 352 published generation 5

Revise: the same mesmerizing, self-contained, glowing architectural symphony of light, and this time the fractal patterns should disrupt the structured field by radiating outward from their center points. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 409 not published generation 6

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 6 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
