Line from entry 1449

5 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1449 published generation 0

a sweater being knit

Revise: the same continuous, striped pattern of the intended garment, and this time the visible stitches should form repeating loops and interlocking patterns, moving upward as if hand-knitted. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1586 published generation 1

Revise: the same continuously growing strip of fabric forming a sweater, and this time the complex interlocking loops should transition to forming repeating, highly stylized leaf and vine motifs. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1701 published generation 2

Revise: the same continuously growing strip of fabric forming a sweater, and this time the visible stitches should consistently form distinct, alternating color-blocked horizontal bands. — critique by gemma4:e4b

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 3 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
