sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 1477

7 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1477 published generation 0

a lava lamp in zero gravity

Revise: the same enclosed, fluid medium filled with amorphous, colored blobs, and this time the masses pulsate rhythmically and transition through sharper, distinct gradients. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1613 published generation 1

Revise: the same colored, amorphous blobs float suspended within an enclosed, fluid medium, and this time the internal surfaces of the masses reveal sharp, geometric fracturing. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1717 published generation 2

Revise: the same amorphous, brightly colored blobs, and this time their internal fractures begin to grow into crystalline structures. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1778 published generation 3

Revise: the same amorphous, brightly colored blobs suspended in a fluid medium, and this time the radiating crystalline structures detach and form independently within the surrounding fluid. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1832 published generation 4

Revise: the same amorphous, brightly colored masses suspended within a fluid medium, and this time the detached crystalline structures aggregate to form larger, geometrically defined polyhedral clusters. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1876 rejected · operator generation 5

Revise: depart: the idea of self-organizing structural emergence taken into a complex assembly of clockwork gears and interlocking brass mechanisms, made of oxidized bronze, seen in a Victorian time machine. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2102 not published generation 5

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 5 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
