sketchgen

a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 1912

4 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 1912 published generation 0

a lava lamp in zero gravity

Revise: the same transparent vessel containing a dense, viscous, colored fluid, and this time the blobs appear more amorphous and textural, showing greater internal viscosity. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1918 published generation 1

Revise: the same transparent vessel filled with a highly viscous, dense, colored fluid, and this time the internal boundaries of the amorphous blobs display greater striation and complex color gradients. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1923 published generation 2

Revise: carry: Complex color gradients and shifting boundaries given to a collection of intricately geared mechanisms, driven by a pendulum — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2129 not published generation 3

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 3 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
