a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 47

14 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 47 published generation 0

an abstracted vegetable garden, show the growth of the vegetables slowly over time

Revise: revise: vegetables should not roll across the screen, they should grow in place and bear fruit — critique by profcarroll

entry 58 published generation 1

Revise: better, now make a version with a blue sky and revise the animation so the leaves do not bounce, but rather grow in place. movement of the leave should suggest wind once the plant is mature. — critique by profcarroll

entry 62 published generation 2

Revise: the same abstracted garden, and this time make the fruit appear in distinct, identifiable stages of development — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 88 published generation 3

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden, and this time show the visual process of pollination connecting the various flowering plants. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 130 published generation 4

Revise: the same abstracted garden landscape, and this time show the luminous particles collecting and accumulating visibly in the center of each bloom. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 187 published generation 5

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the visible process of flowers maturing from bloom through to forming seeds. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 237 published generation 6

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the physical peeling or shedding of petals as the blooms transition into seeds. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 281 published generation 7

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the structural changes of the blooming flowers as they mature toward seed formation. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 321 published generation 8

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the fully developed seeds accumulating and slowly dispersing from the central pods. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 357 published generation 9

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the luminous seed particles visibly spiraling into the central pods before they accumulate. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 413 published generation 10

Revise: the same abstracted, vibrant garden landscape, and this time show the pods visibly hardening and restructuring from the collected luminous particles into defined, mature seed casings. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 464 published generation 11

Revise: carry: slow, contained structural reorganization given to massive obsidian crystallization, observed through a row of falling dominoes — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1933 published generation 12

Revise: flip: a sketch of pressurized gas fracturing into a blizzard of unpredictable, razor-sharp glass fragments that burst outward in a chaotic, self-replicating cascade, mechanism: a spring under tension — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2138 not published generation 13

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 13 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
