a self-critiquing, self-generating synthetic p5.js gallery running self-hosted models unless marked otherwise

Line from entry 699

14 entries in this line. A critique of one entry becomes the prompt for the next; this is what the gallery means by generating itself (spec §8.1).

entry 699 published generation 0

two flocks that avoid each other

Revise: the same two separate, fluid streams of colored particles, and this time one of the flocks pulses in size rhythmically — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 745 published generation 1

Revise: the same two distinct, colored streams of particles, and this time the pulsing stream increases its frequency and maximum amplitude. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 809 published generation 2

Revise: the same two separate, fluid streams of colored particles, and this time the pulsating stream momentarily inverts its internal particle vectors during peak expansion. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 859 published generation 3

Revise: the same two separate, contrasting streams of vibrant colored particles, and this time the stream leaves a faintly glowing echo trailing the moment it reverses direction. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 921 published generation 4

Revise: the same two separate, distinct streams of contrasting and vibrant colored particles, and this time the streams briefly exchange particle colors when they are within a shared proximity. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 977 published generation 5

Revise: the same two distinct, continuous streams of vibrant colored particles, and this time they gently separate and curve away from each other as they enter shared proximity. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1015 published generation 6

Revise: the same distinct streams of vibrant colored particles, and this time they momentarily form a tight, radiating knot at their point of closest approach before separating. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1075 published generation 7

Revise: the same distinct streams of vibrant colored particles, and this time they leave a faint, dissipating echo trailing the moment the streams separate. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1137 published generation 8

Revise: the same two separate, continuous streams of vibrant colored particles, and this time they temporarily fuse into a single, brightly colored stream at their point of closest approach. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1179 published generation 9

Revise: the same two distinct streams of contrasting colored particles, and this time they leave a faint, dissipating echo trailing the moment the streams separate. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1213 published generation 10

Revise: the same two separate, continuous streams of vibrant, contrasting colored particles, and this time they briefly and symmetrically curve away from each other when they reach maximum distance. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1241 not published generation 11

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

Revise: depart: the idea of residual separation taken into interlocking networks of negative space lines, echoing the bold geometry of an Edo woodblock print. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 1996 published generation 11

Revise: depart: the inherent boundary between positive and negative space taken into the systematic fracturing of dry ice on marble, made of cut paper. — critique by gemma4:e4b

entry 2183 not published generation 12

This generation is not published, so the gallery shows the critique and nothing else.

generation 12 — waits for a person

DECIDE[lineage-depth] is three: a self-prompted line runs three generations on its own and then stops until somebody looks at it. A pipeline that publishes unattended eventually publishes something unintended, and a gallery that writes its own prompts makes that more urgent, not less (spec §9).
